Our Response To Covid-19 Crisis
Since the Lockdown came into effect large sum of population is under financial and Food Crisis, IIC Bengaluru has started the relief work by working with #AMercyMission Initiative to avoid multiple relief to same area. The work under the banner of Mercy Mission was started on March 5 to tackle the medical emergency, has taken up the mission of reaching people with ration kits and packed food since the nation underwent Janata Curfew on March 22 and thereafter the extended 21-day Lockdown.
MicroFinance Relief
IIC knew and was preparing for situation which would arise after lifting of lockdown, one among which was help in restarting of small businesses.
They are one among worst hit industries they include road-side stalls, Coconut stalls, any petty business.
As of May 30th we have many request to either give them loan or provide financial relief to kickstart thier businesses again.
Ration To Rural India
After working in limited capacity during lockdown and helping people In Bengaluru and outskirts of Bangalore, we are concentrating now on rural regions with stories of people surviving with salt and water as food. We have also launched crowdfunding with the help of DonateKart where people can buy items and it will be delivered to poor people whom we have identified
Food For Migrant Workers
During the lockdown millions of workers were left stranded in thier work place without any help from anyone. They started taking ultimate steps to walk back home 1000s of Kms. During which IIC decided we could least help them with food and ration. We started distributing food and water on highways for migrant workers.
Helping Community & Building Families Since 2010
Since 2010 we have helped and transformed lives of many by responding to disasters, rebuilding lives and preparing people against social evils of society.
Covid-19 has been a disaster and a crisis for all, As a NGO we have strived to help in anyway we can towards the society. Apart from various Relief aids carried out to affected people and families in specific areas which was carried out under a banner called #AMERCYMISSION Initiative to avoid aids to same area or family and co-ordinate the relief in and around Bengaluru, We have carried smaller
Apart from carrying out reliefs we have helped various families in distress in this covid-19 crisis with various means and We have also helped people living in slums with water near Nagawara as they were depended on apartments and other sources for water which now have stopped. IIC has deployed a water tanker in the area daily to help them with water
We’ve have also organized Live Lectures from various Scholars through YouTube to help people stay indoors and make the most out of this trying times
